As we celebrate Palm Sunday, we remember how Jesus entered Jerusalem and was treated the King that He is (Matt 21:1-17)! This account reminds us to do what God tells us to do, worship the Lord and speak boldly for Him.
Do What God Tells You to Do
Jesus that told the disciples to get him a specific donkey. The disciples did not question Jesus, they just did what He asked them to do.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Eph 2:10
God has called us ALL to do something, but so often we make excuses about why we can’t do it. We need to stop making excuses and just do it!
Worship the Lord
As Jesus entered Jerusalem, He was worshipped and treated like royalty.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
We need to make sure that we are worshipping God on a DAILY basis! There are so many reasons He is worthy of our praise!
Speak Boldy About Jesus
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” Matt 21:10-11
At this point in time, the crowd was not afraid to share who Jesus was (although we know this quickly changes!).
We all have a testimony to share, which can point people to Christ. Speak boldly for Jesus! Share what He has done and is doing in your life. It can be so encouraging and even life-changing for those you share with.
