Pastor Brent shared a story of how he pointed out a robin to his sons, only for them to struggle to see it among the trees. This parallels the way we sometimes struggle to truly see Jesus in our lives. It’s a powerful reminder of how we can miss the beauty and majesty of Christ, and instead, only see the “trees”—the cross, the Easter traditions, and the religious rituals.
As we approach the Easter season, Pastor Brent challenges us not to miss Christ but to see Him clearly for who He is—the Messiah, the King of Kings, the Alpha and Omega, our Savior, and Redeemer. Just like the blind man in the Bible who initially saw people as trees, we, too, are encouraged to seek true clarity and understanding of Christ’s presence in our lives.
This message is a timely reminder to seek and recognize Jesus in our lives, not just during the Easter celebrations, but every day. Let’s not let our sight be clouded by distractions or traditions, but instead, let’s focus on truly seeing Jesus and His victory on the cross and resurrection day.
