Listen to Service Here

Last week at Freedom Fellowship was a powerful reminder of what it means to live out our faith! We joined with another local church for our annual picnic and baptized 21 people—a true celebration of new life in Christ and the start of many journeys of living on mission.

This message focuses on life after baptism, including practical ways to integrate faith into everyday life, whether at work, in retirement, or in community. The challenge is clear: it’s not just about knowledge, but action—discipling others, serving selflessly, and living intentionally.

Key takeaways:

Live intentionally for Christ: Every area of life—work, relationships, and daily choices—should reflect commitment to Christ and not just ourselves. Ask: “Would those around me know I follow Jesus?”

Be a disciple who makes disciples: It’s not enough to learn; we’re called to share, mentor, and encourage others in their own walks with God, carrying out the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations.

Foster gratitude and take action: Start each day with gratitude for blessings—big and small—and let this thankfulness drive acts of kindness, prayer, and service within our communities.

Our role is not perfection, but progress—choosing daily to get back up, serve others, and point people to Christ.

This message is about how to navigate life’s hardships with faith and resilience. Drawing from Acts 27–28, Pastor Brent explored the Apostle Paul’s response to shipwreck, adversity, and criticism, offering practical wisdom for anyone facing tough seasons.

Key takeaways:

Be an Encourager: In the midst of crisis, Paul reminded others to “take and eat,” encouraging them to draw strength from God. Staying grounded in faith empowers us to encourage those around us, even when we’re struggling ourselves.

Keep Serving Through Affliction: Keep serving others, even during personal trials. Paul gathered firewood for the group after the shipwreck, modeling servant leadership—don’t let hardships stop you from being a blessing.

Turn Crisis into Opportunity: Several points were raised, including the idea that hardship can open unexpected doors. Whether it’s starting a new ministry after a health crisis or building relationships in unforeseen circumstances, adversity can be the catalyst for new growth and impact.

Trust that, even in the hardest times, you can “shake off the snake” and let God turn your setbacks into opportunities for greater purpose.

3 key takeaways:

Honor and Restoration: Not everyone has had a perfect relationship with their mother, but we’re called to extend grace, make that call, and seek restoration where possible. Every day is a new opportunity to build bridges.

Modeling Faith at Home: The strongest lessons aren’t taught—they’re lived. Kids watch how we pray, speak to each other, and overcome challenges. Creating a faith-filled home means letting them see us live out our beliefs daily.

Growth Means Change: Whether it’s new families moving into town or our church purchasing a historic building, growth always involves change. Our mission remains: to invest in the next generation and build legacies that last, rooted in faith and unity.

Whether it’s the beauty of spring after a long winter, or finding renewal after personal failures, God’s faithfulness was a central theme.

Key Takeaways:

Perspective shifts everything: Even rainy, cold mornings can bring lessons and refreshment if we look for God’s blessings in them.

You are not your failures: Remember, even spiritual giants like Moses, David, and Peter struggled, but God’s faithfulness covered them—and it covers us too.

Be a blessing: When we focus on serving others and sowing generosity, we not only help those around us but also experience God’s abundance in our own lives.

This week choose to focus on what God is doing, release the past, and choose to be a blessing wherever you go!

In this message, Pastor Brent talks about how true confidence starts with our relationship in Christ. It's not about what we achieve or own, but how we surrender our lives and trust God's purpose for us.
In this message, Pastor Brent talks about how true confidence starts with our relationship in Christ. Don’t let doubt hold you back—live with confidence, knowing you’re called, equipped, and loved by the King of Kings.

Key takeaways:

🔹 Find Real Confidence in Identity
The enemy attacks our confidence by making us question our worth and salvation. Our identity is rooted in Christ, not past mistakes or worldly achievements.

🔹 Purpose Matters: Know Jesus & Make Him Known
Your unique gifts and passions aren’t random—they’re given for a reason. Living with confidence means embracing your purpose: knowing Jesus and sharing His love in your sphere of influence.

🔹 Pray Boldly & Seek God Daily
Approaching God’s throne with confidence leads to mercy, grace, and purposeful direction. Prayer, reading scripture, and surrendering each day open doors you never thought possible.

No matter your circumstances, you can walk in victory and dominion by anchoring your confidence in Christ. Start your week strong—seek, pray, and walk boldly!

3 Key Takeaways:

New Beginnings Are Always Possible
Isaiah 43:18-19 states: we’re called to “forget the former things” and embrace the new thing God is doing, regardless of past mistakes or setbacks.

Focus on Your Blessings, Not Your Problems
When we shift our attention away from what’s overwhelming and toward what God has already provided, our perspective and capacity to serve increase.

Use What You Have
Big or small, your gifts, home, and time can bless others. The story of the loaves and fishes shows that God multiplies our offerings when we use them with a willing heart.

Commit to Spiritual Renewal: Rather than just making fleeting New Year’s resolutions, Pastor Brent emphasized investing in spiritual commitments—making Jesus the Lord of our lives and allowing Him to guide us through valleys and mountaintops (Psalm 23).

Strengthen Relationships through Forgiveness: Genuine fellowship thrives on bearing with one another, letting go of grudges, and committing our relationships to God. A spirit of forgiveness is essential to healthy community and personal growth.

Let Your Light Shine in Darkness: Even as our society faces overwhelming challenges and “darkness”… revival and transformation are happening. Young people are leading the way, and they remind us the light of Jesus shines brightest when the world feels dim.

In this week’s sermon, Pastor Brent Weide invited us to pause in the busyness of life and really ask ourselves: Have we had a true encounter with Jesus—or are we just “going through the motions”? Drawing from the familiar Christmas story in Luke 2, Pastor Brent reminded us how the shepherds were simply doing their daily work when everything changed. The message: God meets us in our everyday, often mundane moments, and calls us to a real, transforming relationship with Him.

Drawing from the familiar Christmas story in Luke 2, Pastor Brent Weide reminded us how the shepherds were simply doing their daily work when everything changed. The message: God meets us in our everyday, often mundane moments, and calls us to a real, transforming relationship with Him.

Key Takeaways:

It’s Easy to Miss the Miracle
Like the religious leaders in Jesus’ day, we can get so caught up in “church stuff” that we miss an authentic encounter with Him.

A Changed Life Looks Different
When the shepherds and the disciples encountered Jesus, they left their jobs, their plans, and ran toward something greater. As Pastor Brent Weide challenged: Have you left your “fields” yet? Or is Jesus still just part of your schedule?

True Encounter Leads to Worship and Joy
Look at the woman with the alabaster jar—her encounter with Jesus led her to pure, unashamed worship, pouring out everything she had in gratitude.

We’re Called to Encourage Each Other
The shepherds encouraged one another to seek Jesus. Who can you invite along? Who needs your encouragement this Christmas season?
