Are you living on mission? Are you using your gifts and abilities to advance the Gospel (and NOT living in what did you did 20 years ago!)?

How do we live on mission?

Set your priorities

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness (Matt 6:33),”

Christians are held back by thinking they aren’t good enough. That is a lie of the enemy! Remind the devil that you are good enough in Christ!

Love each other second – that means you will have to deny yourself.

Learn to walk with God

“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).”

Surrender your life over for the Holy Spirit to guide you

Looks for ways to serve others and pursue the fruit of the spirit

In this message, Pastor Brent talked about what’s next when you’ve just come through a season of hard work, celebration, and even loss. He shared about the power of looking back to reflect on God’s faithfulness, leaning into prayer as the foundation for future breakthroughs, and serving our communities right where we’re planted. Whether you’re riding the highs or navigating the valleys, remember: stay rooted in Christ, pray over your family and business, farm the land you’ve been given, and don’t forget to stop and celebrate every win along the way. Stay inspired, stay grateful, and keep moving forward!

Listen to Service Here

Key Take-aways:

Prayer-Filled Foundations

Pastor Brent reminds us that all effective ministry and personal growth start with prayer. By “digging ditches” through faithful, consistent prayer—both individually and as a church—we prepare the ground for God’s movement in our lives and community. Devoting ourselves to prayer is not just a prelude to action; it is essential work that protects, guides, and sustains us through every season.

Faithful Stewardship of Your Calling

We are called to “farm the land” God has given us, which means tending to our families, neighbors, and spheres of influence with care and persistence. Like a farmer picking rocks from the field or a volunteer serving selflessly, we’re encouraged to do the daily, sometimes difficult work of evangelism, service, and discipleship—trusting that God uses even our small acts of faithfulness for His greater purpose.

Celebrating God’s Goodness

In the midst of busyness, hardship, or success, it’s important to pause and “smell the roses.” Pastor Brent challenges us to look back in gratitude—celebrating salvations, marriages, personal healing, and every evidence of God’s faithfulness. By stopping to reflect and praise God, we anchor ourselves in joy and keep our perspective rooted in His ongoing work.

Life throws storms our way—both literally and figuratively—but like the humble dandelion, we can thrive, persist, and bring value wherever we land. Every part of the dandelion is useful and resilient, just like we should be in business and life. Let’s grow through hard times, keep spreading hope, and make a positive impact no matter where we’re planted. Remember, real influence isn’t about being the tallest in the field—it’s about using what you have to serve others. Let’s be like dandelions and make a lasting difference!

Listen to Service Here

Key Take-Aways:

Resilient Faith in a Broken World

Pastor Brent invites us to see both personal and global hardships—like storms, sickness, and loss—as evidence of a world “groaning” under the weight of sin. Rather than despair, followers of Christ are reminded to anchor their hope in Jesus and respond with love, hope, and compassion for those suffering around them.

Spreading Goodness Like the Dandelion

Using the humble dandelion as a symbol, we’re called to live lives that bless others in unexpected places. Just as dandelions thrive even in harsh conditions and are surprisingly nutritious, Christians are encouraged to bring beauty, nourishment, and the message of Jesus wherever they are “planted”—even in the hardest spiritual ground.

From Self-Focus to Kingdom Impact

Instead of seeking personal recognition or comfort, Pastor Brent challenges us: move from simply enjoying salvation for ourselves to actively sharing Christ’s love. Study God’s word to be “nutritious,” intentionally serve others, and let the Holy Spirit send you out—multiplying hope and truth in a “world that’s falling apart.”

Dan Sommer delivers a powerful message on the true purpose of church and the critical role each believer plays in spreading the Gospel. Dan reflects on personal experiences, theological insights, and the transformative power of faith in this message.

Listen to Service Here

If you would like to experience the complete service (including worship), please view our Live Stream of the service on our Facebook page.

Key Takeaways:

Active Ministry Participation

Every believer is called to ministry. The church is not just a place for worship but a training ground to prepare us for witnessing and spreading God’s word. Dan emphasizes the necessity of each one of us becoming ministers of the Gospel, not just relying on church leaders.

Personal Spiritual Growth

Dive into the Bible personally and regularly. Dan encourages personal Bible reading and understanding, rather than an over-reliance on external sources. He suggests simple practices like reading a chapter of Proverbs each day and joining Bible studies to deepen your faith.

Evangelism and Relationship Building

Christian evangelism should center on building relationships and sharing experiences. Dan’s testimony about his conversion and the impact of his faith on others, underscores the importance of living as ‘walking advertisements’ for Christ, by being approachable, happy, and forming genuine friendships.

In today’s message, we look at how life’s chaos and a critical spirit can make us miss experiencing Jesus. Highlighting powerful testimonies, we see the importance of breaking routine worship, focusing on spiritual transformation, and embracing God’s miracles. Let’s reflect on our homes, rid ourselves of jealousy, and uplift our communities.

Key Take-aways:

Welcoming the Wounded

Everyone is welcome in God’s house, regardless of past hurts or perceived unworthiness. Pastor Brent shares the moving story of a Vietnam veteran who overcame his reluctance and found acceptance in the church. This powerful narrative reminds us that the church should be a haven for all, embodying Christ’s unending grace and love.

Embracing God’s Grace

Life may seem unfair, but God’s grace offers a path to salvation for everyone. Pastor Brent challenges us to look beyond life’s inequities and recognize that divine grace is what saves us. Calling out our collective tendency towards jealousy and criticism, he implores the congregation to uplift and celebrate each other, just as Christ has done for us.

Focus on Spiritual and Relational Priorities

A balanced life requires prioritizing your family and personal relationships over worldly pursuits. Pastor Brent stresses the importance of maintaining spiritual and relational health at home to truly experience Jesus. He highlights the need to support those in authority with prayer rather than complaints, underscoring that love for God and family should drive our lives.

This is a powerful message about spiritual readiness and intentionality. Just as farmers prepare for the harvest season, we too must prepare for our spiritual journey. Let’s make a commitment to prioritize our spiritual lives, be prepared for life’s unpredictability, and actively engage in serving our communities.

Key takeaways:

Intentional Prayer and Scripture Engagement:

Pastor Brent emphasizes the importance of developing a genuine prayer life that goes beyond just listing requests. It’s about seeking and listening to God’s guidance, being equipped for His will, and making daily scripture reading a habit, even if it’s just a few minutes each day.

Spiritual Readiness and Flexibility:

Pastor Brent talks about the need for flexibility and resilience in our faith practices. Life’s unexpected challenges—much like storms—require us to be spiritually prepared to fulfill God’s calling effectively.

Community Engagement and Service:

Pastor Weide encourages active involvement in community and church activities. He highlights the loneliness issue in nursing homes and urges Christians to see beyond personal distractions to address such needs.
